Transfer coefficients (Tcos) in Table J.2-3 (column-2) combine milk data (milk<br />

concentration of PCDD/Fs and PCBs) with dietary intake estimates listed in<br />

Table J.2-1. <strong>OEHHA</strong> derived individual Tcos from data presented in (Liem et al.,<br />

1995; Albers et al., 1996; Liem et al., 2000). Because the median is a reasonable<br />

estimate of the geometric mean in skewed distributions, Tcos were derived from<br />

median half-lives listed in column-5 of Table J.2-2. Tcos range from less than<br />

one to more than ten d/kg-milk among dioxins and furan and less than two to<br />

more than 20 d/kg-milk among dioxin-like compounds.<br />
