1. Check for environmental factors such as hum<strong>id</strong>ity,<br />

hand lotion or jewelry. Check if user is touching<br />

the trackpad simultaneously with both hands.<br />

2. Clean the trackpad surface (with the computer<br />

powered off) using a clean, dry, lint-free cloth.<br />

3. Make sure all software and firmware updates have<br />

been applied.<br />

Universal Access, turn off<br />

special Keyboard and Mouse<br />

& Trackpad settings. Set for<br />

normal use, enable and test<br />

multiple touch features. Verify<br />

if trackpad works now.<br />

Internal Keyboard/Trackpad<br />

continuously listed on USB in<br />

<strong>Apple</strong> System <strong>Pro</strong>filer.<br />

3. Reseat the trackpad flex cable<br />

to the logic board. Verify if<br />

trackpad works now.<br />

4. Verify if the trackpad<br />

connector on the logic board is<br />

damaged.<br />

5. Does the cursor move correctly<br />

when trackpad is used ? Clean<br />

trackpad surface and verify<br />

trackpad is moving cursor on<br />

screen.<br />

6. Does the trackpad button<br />

click? Verify trackpad<br />

alignment is proper and clickdepth<br />

set screw is at factory<br />
