§ 120. sag ... sú, 'for, or, at the head', is employed in two senses<br />
aeeording to the interpretation of sag, whieh means literally , head, top "<br />
whenee sag-Sú = above, superior to; dúg-ga-zu ... sag-bi-Sú e-a-ám,<br />
'thy word arises above all' '. sag is, however, more often taken in the<br />
sense of ' one " 'one head of oxen, sheep, slaves ete.' Consequently<br />
sag-sú means ' in substitution for '. 1 gud-gis sag áb 10 Sú =' one OX,<br />
reached theage ofvirility, in plaeeof aeow ten years old', B. M. 19064.<br />

§ 122. <strong>The</strong> suffixes ra, sú, da, ta should logieally follow all others,<br />
as in uru-ni-ta, 'from his eity', lugal-ni-ir, , for his king', etc. Exceptions<br />
oecur which are difficult to explain. ana d. enlila-da zag-di-a-na gastin<br />
nam-dug-ga-e-da-na = 'in his rivaling with Anu and Enlil, in his<br />
makingabundant the wine', ASKT. 80,19. ta oceurs before the eonstruct<br />
ending ka in gú íd·lwnmagirnun-ta-ka, 'at the bank ofthe river L.',<br />
