BALG, or Bn!g is an ancient Celtic vocable,<br />

<strong>and</strong> <strong>in</strong> every <strong>language</strong> where it is used,<br />

has <strong>the</strong> same signification as <strong>in</strong> <strong>Gaelic</strong>.<br />

The ancient Gauls <strong>and</strong> Britons used it to<br />

denote a wallet, quiver, &c. &c.<br />
