<strong>PUMA</strong>’s Clever World includes all of <strong>PUMA</strong>’s<br />

sustainable innovations by delivering lifestyle<br />

and performance products with a<br />

lower environmental impact and a more<br />

socially responsible aspect to consumers.<br />

<strong>PUMA</strong>’s Clever World invents and delivers<br />

initiatives that engage, educate, inspire and<br />

help <strong>PUMA</strong>’s staff, our brand and consumers<br />

to lead a more sustainable lifestyle. And<br />

finally, it is how <strong>PUMA</strong> talks about sustainability.<br />

It is <strong>PUMA</strong>’s unique way of chatting<br />

with consumers about sustainability,<br />

in a green marketplace many people find<br />

confusing. Our aim is to communicate in a<br />

transparent, credible, educational way and<br />

full of <strong>PUMA</strong> JOY.<br />

<strong>PUMA</strong>’s Clever World encompasses <strong>PUMA</strong>’s<br />

consumer-facing sustainability initiatives<br />

including the InCycle collection, the Bring<br />

Me Back recycling program, our more<br />

sustainable, vegan, shoe Re-Suede, the<br />

<strong>PUMA</strong> Sustainable Design Collective, and<br />

our Clever Little Bag. <strong>PUMA</strong>’s Clever World<br />

showcases a journey that began in 1999<br />

when <strong>PUMA</strong> started implementing more<br />

<strong>PUMA</strong> BUSineSS And SUStAinABility RePoRt 2012<br />

sustainable s<strong>up</strong>ply chain projects and goals.<br />

<strong>PUMA</strong>’s Clever World is formally introduced<br />

to the market in early 2013, with the launch<br />

of the Clever World Website. The website<br />

hosts all Clever World initiatives and projects<br />

and is part of <strong>PUMA</strong>’s first large-scale<br />

introduction of CLEVER to the consumer.<br />

We will also run Clever World Week, a PRfocused<br />

series of global events culminating<br />

in a single week during 2013. S<strong>up</strong>port for<br />

this week will come through many channels<br />

including retail installations and social<br />

media campaigns.<br />

going ‘round in cycles<br />

In 2012 we achieved a major milestone in<br />

our More Sustainable Products portfolio<br />

introducing biodegradable and recyclable<br />

shoes, shirts and bags to the <strong>PUMA</strong> product<br />

range.<br />

With our InCycle collection, we took a first<br />

step in addressing the environmental footprint<br />

of our consumers’ disposal, helping<br />

them reduce their personal waste generation<br />

by returning their used products<br />

to <strong>PUMA</strong>’s Bring Me Back recycling bins in<br />

<strong>PUMA</strong> stores.<br />

We took on the challenge of launching an<br />

entire line that is either biodegradable or<br />

recyclable and 100 percent Cradle-to-Cradle<br />
