• + Haemoglobin<br />
• + X - Match<br />
If complex medical patient, also consider:<br />
• ±ABG (Or VBG)<br />
(Machines usually now also gives a stat Na + , K + , & Glucose result)<br />
Usual Imaging<br />
• + X Ray (Chest) =Chests<br />
• + CT =Heads<br />
• + Ultrasound =Abdomens (or consider DPL)<br />
REMEMBER<br />
• Minor injuries tend to arrive first<br />
• Medical Imaging is the usual site <strong>of</strong> ‘bottleneck’ and obvious fractures can <strong>of</strong>ten<br />
wait.<br />
