AREA COVERAGE
The areas of the hospital covered by the Resuscitation Team response component of this
procedure is limited to patient care areas and other buildings as follows.
• Inpatient Services Building
• Psychiatric Centre
• Healy Wing
• Daly Wing
• Bolte Wing (including Respiratory Lab).
• Aikenhead Wing (including Child Care Centre)
• Car Park / Forecourt behind 55 Victoria Parade
• St. Vincent’s Private Hospital (ICU Registrar 1930-0800, SVPH Code Blue Team
and St. Vincent’s Hospital Medical Registrar)
• Departments of Medicine and Surgery, Clinical Sciences Building
• Dialysis Centre
• Central Melbourne Medical Imaging (CMMI)
• 55 Victoria Parade - all medical rooms and services
• De Paul House
• Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital (Medical Registrar only)
Call Ambulance Service (Code Blue Team does not attend)
• Drug and Alcohol Facility (Fitzroy Street)
• All properties along east side of Fitzroy Street, including the Bernard O’Brien
Institute of Microsurgery
• All properties along Gertrude Street including:
• “Turning Point”
• “Transcultural Psychiatry Unit”
Until the Ambulance arrives to stabilise the patient, qualified staff will administer
emergency first aid.
