CODE RED ALERT<br />
PERSON DISCOVERING SMELL OF SMOKE<br />
The person discovering a burning / smoke smell MUST at all times take the<br />
following actions:<br />
! Close all doors and windows (to isolate spread <strong>of</strong> fire & smoke).<br />
! Investigate the cause <strong>of</strong> the burning / smoke smell.<br />
! Rescue/move persons in immediate danger to safety.<br />
(If fire has not been confirmed)<br />
! Warn others in the area - Do not shout fire in ward areas<br />
! Report situation to Area Warden or senior person present.<br />
! Dial 2444, report "RESPOND RED ALERT" give your name, the location <strong>of</strong> the<br />
incident and all relevant details.<br />
AWAIT FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS FROM AREA WARDEN.<br />
