Respond Yellow<br />

DEPUTY <strong>EMERGENCY</strong> CO-ORDINATOR - CODE YELLOW ALERT<br />

If emergency cause has not been confirmed, just reported smell or odours.<br />

• On notification <strong>of</strong> Code Yellow, proceed to affected building;<br />

• Don tabard (vest) identifying position;<br />

• Proceed to scene liaise with Area Warden and take charge (if necessary);<br />

• Maintain communication with Emergency Co-ordination Centre and update on<br />

arrival and as events unfold (at least every 15 minutes).<br />

• Secure area - prevent unauthorised access by others to the affected area.<br />

• Remain at location and assist Area Warden with tasks.<br />

• Advise Emergency Co-ordination Centre when all clear to be given.<br />

• Arrange immediate replacement / rectification <strong>of</strong> used installed equipment.<br />

• Provide a report on the incident to Risk Management.<br />
