AREA WARDEN<br />

• Ensure Bomb Threat Check List is completed.<br />

• Avoid panic.<br />

• Don tabard (vest) identifying position.<br />

• Initiate search for suspect item (See instructions Page 11) or if Mail, isolate and<br />

leave area clear.<br />

• If suspect item found DO NOT TOUCH - isolate and advise Emergency Coordinator.<br />

• Contact Emergency Co-ordinator via WIP phone for further instructions. Ensure<br />

recipient <strong>of</strong> threat to be available to report to the Emergency Co-ordination Centre<br />

when advised and for Police interview when requested.<br />

• If “Code Orange : Evacuation” is ordered by the Emergency Co-ordinator or<br />

Police:<br />

• Evacuate all persons to safe area as advised.<br />

• Ensure non-hospital persons in area <strong>of</strong> threat take their personal items with them<br />

on leaving area.<br />

• Leave lights on.<br />

• Account for all persons under your control.<br />

• Advise Emergency Co-ordinator via WIP phone when evacuation completed and<br />

give details <strong>of</strong> any person not accounted for.<br />

• Ensure no persons return to danger area until All Clear given from Emergency'<br />

Co-ordinator.<br />
