<strong>RFP</strong> APPENDIX A, SAMPLE CONTRACT<br />

STATEWIDE FINGERPRINT IMAGING SYSTEM (SFIS) TERMINAL OPERATOR SERVICES<br />

All Contractor employees providing services under this contract, shall be<br />

provided a photo identification badge, at Contractor’s expense. This<br />

identification must be worn and visible at all times while at work.<br />

All Contractor’s employees assigned to or visiting County facilities are<br />

required to have a County Identification (ID) badge on <strong>the</strong>ir person and<br />

visible at all times.<br />

7.3.1 Contractor is responsible to ensure that employees have obtained<br />

a County ID badge be<strong>for</strong>e <strong>the</strong>y are assigned to work in a County<br />

facility. Contractor personnel may be asked to leave a County<br />

facility by a County representative if said personnel do not have<br />

<strong>the</strong> proper County ID badge on <strong>the</strong>ir person.<br />

7.3.2 Contractor shall notify <strong>the</strong> County within one business day when<br />

staff is terminated from working under this Contract. Contractor<br />

shall retrieve and return an employee’s ID badge to <strong>the</strong> County on<br />

<strong>the</strong> next business day after <strong>the</strong> employee has terminated<br />

employment with <strong>the</strong> Contractor.<br />

7.3.3 If County requests <strong>the</strong> removal of Contractor’s staff, Contractor<br />

shall retrieve and return an employee’s ID badge to <strong>the</strong> County on<br />

<strong>the</strong> next business day after <strong>the</strong> employee has been removed from<br />

working on <strong>the</strong> County’s contract.<br />

7.4 Background and Security Investigations<br />

7.4.1 Each of Contractor’s staff per<strong>for</strong>ming services under this Contract,<br />

who is in a designated sensitive position, as determined by<br />

County in County's sole discretion, shall undergo and pass a<br />

background investigation to <strong>the</strong> satisfaction of County as a<br />

condition of beginning and continuing to per<strong>for</strong>m services under<br />

this Contract. Such background investigation may include, but<br />

shall not be limited to, criminal conviction in<strong>for</strong>mation obtained<br />

through fingerprints submitted to <strong>the</strong> Cali<strong>for</strong>nia Department of<br />

Justice. The fees associated with <strong>the</strong> background investigation<br />

shall be at <strong>the</strong> expense of <strong>the</strong> Contractor, regardless if <strong>the</strong><br />

member of Contractor’s staff passes or fails <strong>the</strong> background<br />

investigation.<br />

7.4.2 If a member of Contractor’s staff does not pass <strong>the</strong> background<br />

investigation, County may request that <strong>the</strong> member of<br />

Contractor’s staff be immediately removed from per<strong>for</strong>ming<br />

services under <strong>the</strong> Contract at any time during <strong>the</strong> term of <strong>the</strong><br />

Contract. County will not provide to Contractor or to Contractor’s<br />
