All of the municipality’s Intangible Assets are held under freehold interests and no Intangible Assets had been pledged<br />
as security for any liabilities of the municipality.<br />
No restrictions apply to any of the Intangible Assets of the municipality.<br />
Refer to Appendix “B” for more detail on Intangible Assets.<br />
7.1 Intangible Assets with Indefinite Useful Lives<br />
There are no classes of Intangible Assets regarded as having indefinite useful lives and all Intangible Assets are<br />
amortised.<br />
7.2 Impairment of Intangible Assets<br />
The municipality has not tested its items of Intangible Assets for any potential impairment losses on assets.<br />
Furthermore, no review of the useful lives or depreciation methods applied to items of Intangible Assets has been<br />
performed. The afore-mentioned actions have not been carried out by the municipality due to the exemptions<br />
granted in terms of ASB Directive 4, March 2009.<br />
