The Beast Golems are modeled on (but as deadly or<br />
more so than) their organic counterparts. Creators may<br />
wish to choose alternative materials or supply additional<br />
magical capabilities.<br />
The Iron Bear Golem can stand (briefly) 8' tall on its<br />
legs, but its greatest asset is its ability to absorb substantial<br />
damage. Suitably painted and enhanced, this Golem<br />
can be used as a natural-seeming protector of forestlands.<br />
The Stone Beetle Golems mimics the unearthly<br />
Jadeback species, but lacks the poisonous bite of the<br />
living insect.<br />
Iron Elephant Golems are prized as the ultimate in<br />
heavy cavalry, with a carrying capacity of 1,000 lbs. (+0<br />
Riding Bonus). Unlike real elephants, these Golems<br />
cannot be frightened into stampeding against their<br />
creator’s (master’s) will. They are also more fearsome<br />
opponents. Maintenance to prevent rust damage can<br />
become a serious issue for these entities when deployed<br />
in rainforests, jungles or in monsoon conditions.<br />
Steel Griffin Golems are both excellent aerial transport<br />
(with 500 lbs. carrying capacity and a top speed in<br />
excess of 30 mph) and fine steeds for airborne combat<br />
and air-to-ground attacks. Their 30' wingspan makes<br />
them expensive to <strong>construct</strong>.<br />
The Bronze Hippocampus Golem is an equivalent<br />
aquatic steed (with a 500 lbs. carrying capacity), suited<br />
for both surface and underwater combat.<br />
This Copper Zephyr Hound Golem is an artificial<br />
version of the Storm Zephyr Golem. Its copper composition<br />
makes it immune to electricity attacks, whilst the<br />
accuracy of its Lightning Bolt can be improved by imbedding<br />
Directed Spells skill.<br />
