All probationary personnel shall be evaluated quarterly by their immediate supervisor throughout<br />

the probationary period.<br />

Quarterly performance evaluations will consist of a written evaluation that will be signed by both<br />

party’s involved.<br />

A copy of the quarterly performance evaluation will be forwarded to the next supervisory level for<br />

that division.<br />

At the eleventh month point the shift commander or division supervisor will forward through the<br />

proper chain of command a memo recommending continued employment of the individual or<br />

termination due to poor performance.<br />

This policy does not in any way entitle the probationary employee to one year of employment. The<br />

Shift Battalion Chief or division Supervisor may at any time recommend the termination of the<br />

employees employment.<br />
