Vacation and Compensatory Time will be accrued as outlined in the City of College<br />
Station Policies and Procedures Handbook.<br />
Holidays will be set by the City Council annually during budget preparation.<br />
Requests for Vacation, Comp Time and Holiday time shall be in writing, and<br />
approved in advance by your immediate supervisor, or his/her designee.<br />
Employees scheduled and required to work on holidays must use the holiday time in the<br />
same calendar year of the holiday. Holidays are not carried over from one calendar<br />
year to the next.<br />
Sick Leave and other Personal Leave (i.e., Family Leave) will be granted in<br />
accordance with the City of College Station Policy and Procedure Handbook.<br />
Reporting in Sick/Late<br />
You shall notify your immediate supervisor or his/her designee as soon as possible when<br />
you will not be able to work your assigned shift by calling 764-3705, asking to have<br />
your message sent to the designee by e-mail or pager.<br />
If you are scheduled to work after 1700 hours weekdays or anytime on a holiday or<br />
weekend, you should notify the on-duty Battalion Chief at 764-3710 and advise them<br />
you will not be able to work your shift.<br />
