A. Call Dispatch:<br />

1. Call dispatch and request a rotation wrecker, give lcoation, violation, state or country of<br />

license plate, license plate number, color, make and model.<br />

B. Write Citation:<br />

1. Issue a citation for the violation found.<br />

C. Take Picture:<br />

1. Take a picture to identify vehicle and violation. (Stand behind a <strong>fire</strong> hydrant and take a<br />

picture showing the vehicle obstructing the steamer)<br />

Note: If a picture has been taken, a tow report and the tow log will be filled out regardless<br />

of whether the wrecker company or the owner moves the vehicle.<br />

D. Fill out Tow Report:<br />

1. Advise dispatch of the wrecker service arrival.<br />

E. Finish Tow:<br />

1. Advise dispatch when the wrecker service has the vehicle in tow. If the owner arrives<br />

prior to wrecker service connecting to the vehicle, and picking it up off the ground, then<br />

they may move the vehicle and the officer needs to contact dispatch by radio and advise<br />

them to cancel the wrecker service.<br />

F. Fill out Tow Log<br />

G. Fill out Photo Log if a picture was taken.<br />
