Notification of overtime for required Fire Training, EMS Training, Committee’s or<br />

Special Assignments<br />

Any 56 hour employee working on special assignments, committees, and/or <strong>fire</strong> and<br />

EMS training must fill out the overtime log located at Fire Administration. The overtime<br />

will be signed for and approved by the individual requiring the special assignment, the<br />

training class, or committee (for committee’s this will be the committee chairman). The<br />

same individual will be responsible for notifying the shift personnel’s Battalion Chief or<br />

Acting-Battalion Chief of the overtime worked for posting on the employee’s time sheet<br />

prior to the time sheet being signed for that pay period.<br />

Pay Period<br />

Ending each pay period the administrative personnel responsible for time sheets<br />

contact the following areas for submittal of the overtime records.<br />

The Battalion Chief-or Acting Battalion Chief, along with others responsible for overtime,<br />

prior to faxing or delivering the overtime log will fill in the ending date and sign their name.<br />

A new form will be started and the start date will be entered on the log sheet. The old<br />

forms, with the transmittal sheet if faxed, will be placed in the back of the overtime book<br />

for permanent reference.<br />

FORTY HOUR PERSONNEL will follow overtime guidelines set forth in the City of<br />

College Station Policies and Procedures Manual.<br />
