Simple Random Sampling (SRS) has been adopted in interviewing tourists from across the State. 1.05 lakh
foreign and domestic tourists were interviewed during the survey period.

The final report on the study and the findings of the CTS for the period from May 2004 to April 2007

Accommodation
Kerala has in 2005, 247 classified hotels with 8166 rooms, which increased from 204 hotels and 7011
rooms in 2004. During the year 2005, it has registered an increase of 21% in the number of hotels and
16% in rooms.
