About 7 - 12% spent Rs.8000 or more per day. The average daily expense varies from Rs.2723 in 2004-05 to Rs.3727 in 2006- 07. Table 11.1.29 gives the percentage distribution of tourists according to average daily expenditure in <strong>Kerala</strong>. The estimated average per day expenditure incurred by tourists amounted to Rs. 2800 in 2004-05, Rs. 3018 in 2005-06 and Rs. 3782 in 2006-07. This can be partly due to increase in prices. 155

The Table 11.1.31 shows that there is no significance difference between the tourists of different nations in their daily expenditure in <strong>Kerala</strong>.
