submitted a report that they are waiting for (tear newsprint). Eventually he speaks to the funder who is<br />

very short with him and says they do not accept hand written proposals – he will need to e-mail her<br />

<strong>of</strong>fice in Pretoria for the form (tear newsprint). He gets home late to an angry wife and a disappointed<br />

committee waiting for him (tear remaining bits).<br />

Ask the group how does Sipho feel now? Most say he is torn up and depressed. Link this to what has<br />

Although people create systems <strong>of</strong> injustice and oppression which can cause poverty, these subtle forms<br />

are <strong>of</strong>ten created day to day in our own minds and own interactions. Open up space for comment. Often<br />

communities reflect on the way people put others down within their own organizations and easily<br />

identify with Sipho.<br />
