Voice Port Status Lights
The four LEDs labelled Port Status on the front of the iES32 unit indicate the hookswitch and ring
states of the ports in the group (1~8, 9~16, 17~24, and 25~32). The lights are On/Off based on the
following:
Off
Green
Buttons
There are two buttons on the control panel—Shutdown and Power. To avoid accidental disruption
of the system, both buttons are recessed into the iES32 faceplate and must be depressed for
three~five seconds to perform their respective functions. Use a ball point pen or similar instrument
to access these buttons.
CAUTION!
Do not use any instrument that is conductive or magnetic (e.g., a magnetic
screwdriver).
• Shutdown Button – Eliminates the need for a connecting cable between the iES32 and the
Stratagy Administration PC (or calling into the Administrator’s mailbox to stop the Stratagy
application). Control Panel LED indicates the status of the shutdown.
• Power Button – Powers off the iES32. Power can be turned off independent of the Strata CTX,
after shutdown. This enables you to remove the iES32 without interrupting the telephone
service.
Thermal Sensing
The iES32 is equipped with a device that senses the ambient and CPU temperatures. The device
checks the temperatures every five minutes and initiates either a Warning notification or proceeds
to shut down the system (software) if the temperature exceeds the defined threshold.
See “Thermal Sensing” on page 3-11 for details.
