Using Stratagy ES Administration<br />

Note This option is available only to Prime and Administrator levels.<br />

The Tools menu consists of five options – Date/Time, Shutdown, Voice Port Status, IVR Alias<br />

Editor and TCL Session.<br />

Change System Date/Time<br />

The Date/Time function changes the system clock at the server.<br />

1. From the Stratagy ES Administration Main menu,<br />

click Tools > Date/Time. The Change system clock<br />

screen displays (shown at right).<br />

2. Using the drop-down menu, select a new date<br />

...or type a date using mm/dd/yy format.<br />

3. Using the spin button, select a new time<br />

...or type a time in using hh:mm:ss format.<br />

4. Click OK. The Main screen displays.<br />

Shutdown<br />

Note This option is only available to Administrator or higher access levels.<br />

Occasionally you will need to shut down, or exit, Stratagy ES Administration. Circumstances<br />

include:<br />

• Turning power off to perform hardware maintenance<br />

• Backing up or restoring Stratagy ES using the Backup Utility<br />

• Upgrading the system<br />

• Moving the system to another location<br />

• Configuration parameters have been changed, and the system must be restarted to use them.<br />

(This can also be performed using StartStratagy.)<br />

The Shutdown function shuts down and restarts the Stratagy ES server.<br />

Shut Down the Stratagy ES<br />

1. From the Stratagy ES Administration Main menu, click Tools > Shutdown. A dialog screen<br />

displays asking you to confirm the shutdown.<br />

2. Click Yes. The Stratagy ES Administration program closes and the server is shutdown.<br />

Windows NT shuts down and reboots automatically.<br />

ASR Sync<br />

This mechanism synchronizes the Stratagy ES database with that of the ASR engine directory. See<br />

Chapter 8 – Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) for instructions on using this option.<br />

Voice Port Status<br />

See “Display Voice Port Status” on page 5-12 for information on using this option.<br />
