Step 5: Connect Stratagy iES32 Network Port to
Strata CTX
Note iES32 uses a static IP address as the default for its network setting that matches the
Strata CTX’s default. Even if using a static IP, the iES32 must be properly configured for the
network it is being installed in. Check and/or change the IP address, default gateway and
SubnetMask settings. See “HyperTerminal” and “NetSet” on page 18-9 for instructions on
changing the settings.
The iES32 Network port is equipped with a 10/100BaseT Ethernet connection. This port is used to
connect the iES32 to the Local Area Network (LAN) for Unified Messaging (UM) and TPI.
The LAN connection can also be used to communicate with a separate Windows 2000/ME/98 or
Windows NT computer using Stratagy ES Administration software.
The Network port can be connected in one of two ways. The one you use depends upon the
features enabled in the iES32 (e.g., UM), the network requirements of the Strata CTX and the
end-users network environment.
