Thermal Sensing
The iES32 is equipped with a device that senses the ambient and CPU temperatures. The device
checks the temperatures every five minutes and initiates either a Warning notification or proceeds
to shut down the system (software).
The following are the thresholds:
• Notification: CPU 80 degrees C, ambient 65.
• Shutdown: CPU 90 degrees C, ambient 75.
The temperatures must be recorded at these thresholds for three consecutive checks before
notification or shutdown occurs. Current temperatures can be checked through Trace or NT Event
Viewer.
Note Event viewer only shows temperature at time of system start up or if there is a reading
outside of the specified range.
