During his 33 years <strong>of</strong>employment with the State <strong>of</strong> CT he worked as a fish culturest, then as manager <strong>of</strong> the<strong>Burlington</strong> Fish Hatchery and finally as the supervisor <strong>of</strong> fish culture, during which time hesupervised the location <strong>of</strong> an adequate aquifer and the planning and building <strong>of</strong> the QuinnebaugHatchery in Plainfield. He is survived by his sister, Helen Bailey; his daughters and sons-in-law,Barbara and Darrell Nelson, Patricia and Fred Rondano, Judith and Greg Wilks and JohnLamantini. Eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Gail Lamantini; grandson,Brian Nelson; and sisters, Wilena Mitchell, Marion Orday and Dorothy Vernesoni. Her grandfather, Deacon SethPeck removed from New Haven during the later years <strong>of</strong> the Revolution, built the homeoccupied by his descendants more than a century, while he father, Captain J.S.Peck, was aleading man <strong>of</strong> his time holding many important town <strong>of</strong>fices, besides being twice elected to theGeneral Assembly and in 1841 to the Senate. She was educated in the common school <strong>of</strong> hertown and at the "Hart Seminary", Plymouth, conducted by Rev. Israel P.Warren. In 12-1860, shemarried Elbert O.Barnes <strong>of</strong> Collinsville, who died 9-1864. She married second, 5-1874, GeorgeRobotham <strong>of</strong> Unionville, who died 3-1877.
