Herb was the beloved husband <strong>of</strong> Audrey (St. John)Weaver, a father, grand- father, great-grandfather, local spindle machine tool manufacturer,former second selectman <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong>, tree farmer and avid golfer. He was born May 27, 1923,in South Boston, MA, son <strong>of</strong> the late Everett and Margaret (Coyman) Weaver. He spent most <strong>of</strong>his career in the machine tool industry. He was co-owner and corporate secretary <strong>of</strong> WhitnonManufacturing Company <strong>of</strong> Farmington designing machine tool spindles used in themanufacturing <strong>of</strong> most products from razor blades to aircraft parts. He continued his career inlater years with Grosite Industries. A graduate <strong>of</strong> Weaver High School, Hartford, he attendedHillyer College . and Army War College. He obtained the rank <strong>of</strong> 1st. Lt. in the Army Air Corpsserving with the 455th Bombardment Group, 15th Air Force, 304th Wing, (the subject <strong>of</strong> theStephen Ambrose book, The Wild Blue.) He was awarded a number <strong>of</strong> Campaign and AirMedals. He was in Europe for V.E. Day and saw the German Army surrender in the Po RiverValley, Italy. Herb was always involved in the community. In addition to his years as secondselectman, he served as President <strong>of</strong> the Lake Garda Improvement Association, <strong>Burlington</strong> Plan& Zoning Board and helped to found <strong>Burlington</strong> Senior Citizens. He served as the businessmanager <strong>of</strong> the Congregational Church in <strong>Burlington</strong> and on the Board <strong>of</strong> Spring Lake VillageAssociation. He was also a Royal Arch Mason; Besides his wife <strong>of</strong> 60 years, he will be missedby four daughters, Nancy Stowell and husband Peter <strong>of</strong> Pottstown, PA, Pamela Barber andhusband John <strong>of</strong> Avon, Cynthia Kellerstedt and husband Daniel <strong>of</strong> Watertown and MelindaBelcher and husband Duncan <strong>of</strong> Woodbury. He was predeceased by two sons, Russell andJames; granddaughter, Rebecca Weaver; and a sister, Dorothy Clifford. He leaves elevengrandchildren, Peter Stowell, Marianne Master and husband Chris, John, Benjamin and MelanieBarber, Sara Castle and husband Howard, James Kellerstedt, Alexander and Lindsay Weaver,Amber Grady and Alicia Belcher; and two great grandchildren, Malachi and Jacob Kellerstedt.He leaves his sister, Margaret O'Connell <strong>of</strong> West Hartford and a brother Everett Weaver <strong>of</strong>Newington; and brother and sister-in-Iaw, Russell and Anne St. John <strong>of</strong> Granby; along withmany nieces and nephews and "cousins by the dozens". Born 11-14-1990,besides her parents, she leaves a sister, Lindsay Jean Weaver and her brother, AlexanderJames, both at home in <strong>Burlington</strong>; her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Weaver <strong>of</strong><strong>Burlington</strong>; and her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lindsay <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong>. Burial inCenter Cemetery, <strong>Burlington</strong>, CT.WEAVER, RUSSELL E. 37, <strong>of</strong> Vineyard Road, husband <strong>of</strong> Laura, died 8-27-1993. He wasborn in Hartford 6-2-1956, son <strong>of</strong> Herbert F. and Audrey (St.John) Weaver <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong>.Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by his daughter, Lindsay Jean and a son AlexanderJames, both at home. Four sisters, Nancy Stowell <strong>of</strong> Pottstown, PA, Pamela Barber <strong>of</strong> Avon;Cynthia Kellerstedt <strong>of</strong> Bristol; and Melinda Belcher <strong>of</strong> Branford. He was predeceased by hisdaughter, Rebecca May, and a brother, James Herbert Weaver. Burial in Center Cemetery,<strong>Burlington</strong>, CT.WEBB, JOHN, 87, <strong>of</strong> Washington Street, husband to Mildred(Cook), died 5-4-1998. Born inHoulton, ME on 4-23-1911, son <strong>of</strong> the late William & Ella (Cameron)Webb. He was a US AirForce Veteran <strong>of</strong> WW II. Besides his wife he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Larry J.134
