First Congregational Church <strong>of</strong> Meriden. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Doreenand John Donahue <strong>of</strong> Wallingford; a son and daughter-in-law, John Ford and CatalinaWessman Jr. and their family <strong>of</strong> Glendale, CA; two sisters, Hazel Conners <strong>of</strong> Orlando, FL,Gladys Reeve <strong>of</strong> Farmington; three grandchildren, James, Lynn and David Donahue, all <strong>of</strong>Wallingford; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a sister, Alice McCoy; andfour brothers, Ernest, Howard, Arthur and Irving Alderman. A funeral service will be held 10-7, atBeecher & Bennett Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave, Meriden. Burial will be at Walnut GroveCemetery, Meriden.WHITFORD, ALAMANDER, 82, oldest member <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Burlington</strong> Church was buried inBristol Cemetery in the burial plot <strong>of</strong> his step-son, Homer S.Whitford <strong>of</strong> Bristol. Mr. Whitford wasa son <strong>of</strong> Stephen and Lydia Whitford, born in Sterling, CT 3-1-1856. In early life he united withthe Advent Christian Church until he was received into the <strong>Burlington</strong> Congregational Church, 3-27-1932. He was married in 1880 and being left a widower, was married on 12-31-1899, to Mrs.Belle Wilcox Whitman, the ceremony performed by Rev. John W. Keeler, Pastor. Mr. Whitfordwas last seen, at church on 1-8-1939. Monday night a light was seen in his home. Tuesday,while doing some work at a spring on the hill-side back <strong>of</strong> his home, his call came suddenly andlife ended in his 83rd year. His stepson and family are nearest relatives who survive him. Pallbearers were Messrs. Joseph Paradise, W.H.Hartigan, Arthur Alderman and George Stretch.WOLLMANN, OTTO, married Miss Anna Russell daughter <strong>of</strong> Mr. & Mrs. Fred Russell, 5-21-1913.144
