TURNER, JANICE L. (Madison) 60, <strong>of</strong> 12 Saverese Lane, wife <strong>of</strong> Freeman L. died 4-30-1991. Born in Hartford 3-1-1931, she was the daughter <strong>of</strong> the late Edward & Rose (Wivagg)Madison. Besides her husband she leaves two sons, Ronald L. <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong> & Mark L. <strong>of</strong>Unionville; two daughters, Mrs. Donna T. Zyjeski <strong>of</strong> Avon & Mrs. Kimberley T. Birge <strong>of</strong>Unionville; and nine grandchildren. Burial in Center Cemetery, <strong>Burlington</strong>, CT.TURNER, LINNEUS F. 87, who had conducted an old-time country store known as theGeneral Store in <strong>Burlington</strong> Center for 43 years, died 6-12-1944. He was born in Palermo, ME in1856 and had lived in <strong>Burlington</strong> since 1880. He retired as storekeeper in 1924. He leaves hiswife, Grace (Barnes) Turner; a son, Dr. Roy E. <strong>of</strong> Bridgeport; a daughter, Mrs. Paul M.Hubbard<strong>of</strong> Bristol. Burial in Center Cemetery, <strong>Burlington</strong>, CT.TURNER, SAMUEL AUSTIN, 11, <strong>of</strong> Farmstead Lane, Farmington died Monday, (May 27,2002) at Connecticut Children's Medical center. Born in Hartford, November 18, 1990, belovedson <strong>of</strong> Mark L. and Sandra M. (Austin) Turner <strong>of</strong> Farmington he resided in Farmington all <strong>of</strong> hislife. Sam was a 5th grade student at the Union School in Unionville. Besides his parents, he issurvived by his brother, Neil A. Turner at home in Farmington; his maternal grandparents, Johnand Elaine Dunleavy <strong>of</strong> Sun City Center, FL; his paternal great-grandmother, Louise Austin <strong>of</strong>Lewiston, ME; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. The family would like toextend their sincere thanks to the medical staff at Children's Medical Center in Hartford andmost especially Dr. Craig Schramm, and our home care nursing staff, Megin, Lauren, Gail, Sueand Janice; as well as everyone else who has worked with Sam over the years. She was employed at the Lewis S. MillsHigh School in <strong>Burlington</strong> for many years and was an active member at the <strong>Burlington</strong> SeniorCenter. Besides her husband, she is survived by her three daughters, Barbara Bachman <strong>of</strong>Aiken, SC, Shari Langer and her husband Joe <strong>of</strong> Canton, Gwen Turner <strong>of</strong> New Hartford; herson, George Turner and his wife Michelle <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong>. She is also survived by her brother,John Giblin <strong>of</strong> Avon; and her sister, Mary Fabrizo <strong>of</strong> Canton. Also surviving are her 11grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Carroll R.Turner, III; and her brother, George Giblin; and her two sisters, Ann Pratson and MargaretGiblin. Shewas the wife <strong>of</strong> Cecil B.Turton. She was born in New Britain on 3-20-1921. She was a member<strong>of</strong> the Congregational Church <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong>. In addition to her husband, she is survived by herson, Charles Lee <strong>of</strong> CA; a special niece, April Beals; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.127
