He was born in <strong>Burlington</strong>, aresident <strong>of</strong> Bristol for 17 years. A veteran <strong>of</strong> WW I. He leaves his wife, Vera (Perkins) Scoville; ason, Almon <strong>of</strong> Terryville; a daughter, Miss Muriel <strong>of</strong> Bristol; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Clayton <strong>of</strong>Bristol and Mrs. Marion Barnes <strong>of</strong> Hamden; two grandchildren. Burial in West Cemetery, Bristol,CT.SCOVILLE, CHARLES B. 83, <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong>, died 1-11-1917 <strong>of</strong> pneumonia. He was married on Christmas Day, 1864 to Ellen Maria Cleveland. They lived atthe foot <strong>of</strong> Johnny Cake Mountain. Mr. Scoville enlisted in the Civil War and served over a year.He was a farmer & dealer in wood & charcoal practically all <strong>of</strong> his life. Burial in CenterCemetery, <strong>Burlington</strong>, CT.SCOVILLE, SHERMAN B, 93, <strong>of</strong> 26 Henderson St. Bristol, died 3-15-1960 at the home <strong>of</strong> hisdaughter, Mrs. Eva Clayton. He was husband <strong>of</strong> the late Flora B. (Sanderson) Smith. He wasborn in <strong>Burlington</strong> 1-2-1867, the son <strong>of</strong> Charles and Ellen (Cleveland) Scoville. He remained in<strong>Burlington</strong> all his active life where he operated a dairy farm on Scoville Road until his farm wassold to the New Britain Water Co. some 30 years ago. He was a charter member <strong>of</strong> theWhigville Grange. He leaves three sons, Charles A. and Sherman C., both <strong>of</strong> Bristol, and Earl S.<strong>of</strong> Terryville; two daughters, Mrs. Eva Clayton <strong>of</strong> Bristol with whom he made his home, and Mrs.Marion Barnes <strong>of</strong> Hamden; 15 grandchildren. Burial in West Cemetery, Bristol, CT.SEIFFERT, EMELIE AUGUSTA(Wollmann) 77, died 5-2-1941 at her home in <strong>Burlington</strong>. Shewas born in Germany, in 5-5-1863, came to America in 1883, and has lived in <strong>Burlington</strong> forover forty years. (Her husband, Joseph died in 1924). She leaves seven children; threedaughters, Mrs. J. (Josephine) Habernak, who has always lived with mother, Mrs. W.J.Ryan <strong>of</strong>West Haven, Mrs. Joseph Fern <strong>of</strong> Hartford; four sons, William E. <strong>of</strong> Hartford; Henry <strong>of</strong>Springfield, MA; and Moxie & Herman <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong>. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. OttoEscholtz <strong>of</strong> Springfield and Mrs. Emma Kern <strong>of</strong> Germany; three brothers, Herman Wollmann <strong>of</strong>Portland, Gustav <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong> & William <strong>of</strong> Hartford. Nine grandchildren. Burial in CenterCemetery, <strong>Burlington</strong>, CT.SEIFFERT, HERMAN R. 76, <strong>of</strong> 267 Plainville Ave. Unionville died 9-28-1974. Born inNepaug in 1898, he lived in the Farmington area all his life. He leaves a brother, Henry <strong>of</strong> Berlin;2 sisters, Mrs. Josephine Habernak <strong>of</strong> Unionville & Mrs. Anna Ryan <strong>of</strong> Avon.
