Burial in Center Cemetery,<strong>Burlington</strong>, CT.VERNESONI, PETER JOHN, 89, <strong>of</strong> Spielman Highway, <strong>Burlington</strong>, husband <strong>of</strong> the lateDorothy(Robinson) Vernesoni, died Sunday, (June 17, 2001). Born in Darien, May 20, 1912,son <strong>of</strong> the late Santo and Marie (Raders) Vernesoni. Prior to retiring, he was employed by theDepartment <strong>of</strong> Environmental Protection for 24 years having worked at the Fish Hatchery in<strong>Burlington</strong>, and served as manager <strong>of</strong> the Fish Hatcheries in Kensington and Plainfield. He issurvived by his four sons and their spouses, Michael W. and Laura Vernesoni <strong>of</strong> Harwinton,Peter J. and Mary Vernesoni <strong>of</strong> Berlin, Phillip R. and Karen Vernesoni <strong>of</strong> Buxton, NC, andWilliam F. and Sandra Vernesoni <strong>of</strong> Windsor; a brother Julius Vernesoni <strong>of</strong> Temple, ME; eightgrandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Born in New Britain, heresided in <strong>Burlington</strong> for 61 years. He was a member <strong>of</strong> the Burlinton Congregational Churchand worked on the Business Committee in his early years. He was a charter member <strong>of</strong> the<strong>Burlington</strong> Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Wacker owned a poultry farm at the corner <strong>of</strong> Route4 and Covey Road for 29 years. Too young to retire, he went to work for Arrow-Hart in Hartfordand then Crescent Manufacturing in <strong>Burlington</strong>. He is survived by hs wife Edna(Hein) Wacker;his daughter Sandra W.Cook <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong>; his son, Walter W. <strong>of</strong> Tehachapli, CA; fivegrandchildren, Edward Cook <strong>of</strong> Brookline, NH; Robert Cook <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong>; Jeffrey Wacker <strong>of</strong>Lancaster, CA; Brian Wacker <strong>of</strong> Ventura, CA; Lawrence Cook, Dunbarton, NH and six greatgrandchildren.He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Nancy Jean Cook.WAGNER, KARL WILHELM, died 2-24-1931.
