A <strong>Burlington</strong> resident since 1949, he worked on the family farm, Greer's Poultry Farm,and was also employed at Superior Electric for 21 years before retiring in 1988. He was amember <strong>of</strong> the American Legion Post 200 in Rocky Hill and the Congregational Church <strong>of</strong><strong>Burlington</strong>. Mr. Buck and another gentlemanwas shooting wild ducks <strong>of</strong>f the Sound at Short Beach last January, 1900. It was supposed theboat capsized in some way, throwing the occupants into the water, as the guns and ammunitionwere found, but diligent search failed to find the young men until a week ago the body <strong>of</strong> Mr.Buck was found. Mr. Buck was 21 years <strong>of</strong> age and the youngest son <strong>of</strong> George E.Buck <strong>of</strong><strong>Burlington</strong>. The aged father feels his loss deeply.20
