He lived in the house in which he died since he was 19 yearsold. He married Mary, daughter <strong>of</strong> Colonel Abram Pettibone <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong>, 5-16-1846. Thefollowing children were born to them; Jennie, Edward W., Hiram P., & William T. Hiram P. <strong>of</strong>Whigville & William T. <strong>of</strong> Aberdeen, WA survive him. He was a member <strong>of</strong> the Bristol BaptistChurch for over 50 years. Burial in Lamson Corner Cemetery, <strong>Burlington</strong>, CT.LOWREY, DOROTHY M.(Martin) 75, <strong>of</strong> Main St. Whigville, widow <strong>of</strong> Allen B.Lowrey, died 6-21-1997 at home. She was born in Meriden on 2-10-1922 and was a daughter <strong>of</strong> the late PaulPreston and Dorothy Amelia(Wolcott) Martin. She had resided in Bristol moving to Whigville in1954 and studied social work at the Hartford Seminary. Mrs. Lowrey is survived by a son anddaughter-in-law, Martin and Beth Lowrey <strong>of</strong> Bristol; three daughters and sons-in-law, Lois andLuciano Petrolito <strong>of</strong> Hartford, Patricia and Harold Niver <strong>of</strong> Waterbury, and Robin and CharlesHaviland <strong>of</strong> Dudley, MA; two brothers, Donald Martin <strong>of</strong> East Longmeadow, MA and John Martin<strong>of</strong> Addison, NY; six grandchildren. Burial in Center Cemetery, <strong>Burlington</strong> CT.LOWREY, EDWIN W. 66, 1-16-1882 1-19-1948. Died in the same house that he was born inWhigville. The son <strong>of</strong> the late Lester L. & Lillian (Bunnell)Lowrey. He was married on 10-13-1903 to Julia Emeline Wright <strong>of</strong> Bristol where they lived until moving to the family homestead inWhigville in 1911. For several years Mr. Lowrey did bakery work and for 19 years he worked forE.Ingraham Co. Besides his wife, he is survived by 5 sons, Lester E. Wilbur W.
