He was born 6-19-1926 in Avon, son <strong>of</strong> Henry F. & Catherine(Sullivan)Reeve and had lived in <strong>Burlington</strong> until 1988. He was a veteran <strong>of</strong> WW II, US Navy. Besides hiswife, he is survived by two sisters, Mary Simon <strong>of</strong> Bloomfield and Rosalie Labbe <strong>of</strong> Ft. Myers,FL. He was predeceased by a brother, John A.Reeve. He also left 3 daughters and 2 sons-inlaw,Jane and Kenneth VanNostrand <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong>, Catherine Macias <strong>of</strong> Torrington, and Teresaand Patrick McCue <strong>of</strong> Canton; a son and daughter-in-law, Henry and Neuma Reeve <strong>of</strong>Southfield, MA. He also leaves 4 grandsons, Patrick Reeve, Javier and Andres Macias andAidan McCue;and two step-daughters, Pam Hughes and husband, Joseph and their daughter,Heather, and Darlene Charnysh and husband Chris, and their children, Caitlin and Nicholas.Burial in Center Cemetery, <strong>Burlington</strong>, CT.REEVE, JOHN A. 75, town clerk for nearly a half a century and former judge <strong>of</strong> probate, died1-15-1935 in his <strong>of</strong>fice, where he was found by Ernest Hinman. Born 7-25-1859 in New Havenhe came to <strong>Burlington</strong> in 1872 and was engaged in the lumber and farming business until 1920,when he retired. He was judge <strong>of</strong> Probate for 40 years until he retired five years ago. Herepresented the town in 1887 and 1929 in the Legislature. He leaves five sons, Arthur J. <strong>of</strong><strong>Burlington</strong>, Henry F. <strong>of</strong> Torrington, Edward H. <strong>of</strong> Kensington, Robert D. <strong>of</strong> Laurelton, L.I. andWilliam L. <strong>of</strong> Unionville; three daughters, Sister Mary Annina <strong>of</strong> the Assumption Convent,Ansonia, Mrs. Kenneth Cobb <strong>of</strong> Windsor Locks, and Miss Grace E. <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong>. Burial inCenter Cemetery, <strong>Burlington</strong>, CT. Sr. 74, <strong>of</strong> North Fort Myers, FL, husband <strong>of</strong> Lilly(Dahlin) Reeve died 10-18-1997 at home. Son <strong>of</strong> the late Henry F. and Catherine(Sullivan) Reeve he was born in<strong>Burlington</strong> (11-2-1923)and lived there most <strong>of</strong> his life until he retired in 1986. He was acustodian in the <strong>Burlington</strong> school system for 33 1/2 years. During WW II he served in the USMarine Corp. Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Elaine and her husband JosephBrown <strong>of</strong> Springfield, MA; a son John A. Reeve Jr. and his wife Laraine <strong>of</strong> Plainville; a daughter,Nancy Hearn <strong>of</strong> Unionville; three grandchildren, Aaron and Ruth Brown and Gayla Hearn; twosisters, Mary R.Simon <strong>of</strong> Bloomfield and Rosalie R.Labbe <strong>of</strong> Fort Myers, FL; and a brotherHenry Reeve, Jr. <strong>of</strong> Canajoharie, NY. Burial will be in Center Cemetery, <strong>Burlington</strong>, CT.REEVE, LAURA, Miss, Sunday morning, on 6-1-1930 our community was greatly saddenedto learn <strong>of</strong> the sudden and unexpected death during the night <strong>of</strong> Miss Laura, youngest daughter<strong>of</strong> Mr. John Reeve, a young lady <strong>of</strong> great promise and loved by all who knew her. An honorstudent in the High School, she was eagerly planning her graduation this June, when suddenlyand with few hours <strong>of</strong> warning to her nearest friends, a charming young life was ended on earthto continue in eternity. Buried in Center Cemetery, <strong>Burlington</strong>, CTREEVE, ROBERT FRANCIS, 52, <strong>of</strong> Michael Drive, Canton, husband to Susan (Castelli)Reeve, died 1-23-1990. He was born 4-6-1937 in Hartford and had lived in <strong>Burlington</strong> for manyyears, and East Hartford prior to moving to Canton 13 years ago. He graduated from theUniversity <strong>of</strong> Hartford, class <strong>of</strong> 1960. Was employed as an account manager at General ElectricInformation Services. Besides his wife, he is survived by his mother, Gertrude(McCormick)Reeve <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong>, a daughter, Kara Elizabeth Reeve <strong>of</strong> Canton, two brothers and two sisters,John W.Reeve <strong>of</strong> Unionville, Gail Shirley <strong>of</strong> Arlington, VA James L.Reeve <strong>of</strong> Greenwich, NY andTrudy Carroll <strong>of</strong> West Hartford. Burial in Old St. Francis Cemetery, Torrington, CTREEVE, WILLIAM L. 81, former <strong>Burlington</strong> treasurer and husband <strong>of</strong> Gertrude (McCormick)Reeve, <strong>of</strong> Barnes Hill Road, died 5-8-1987. Born in <strong>Burlington</strong> on 1-23-1906, he lived in98
