In 1957, he began his law career with Gillespie and McCallumin Unionville. Then moving to <strong>Burlington</strong> he began his own private practice as a country lawyerin <strong>Burlington</strong>, a position he held until the present. He was very active in town political affairs andseldom missed an Inland Wetlands Meeting or a Zoning Board Meeting for the <strong>Town</strong> <strong>of</strong><strong>Burlington</strong>. He was a member <strong>of</strong> the Valley Community Baptist Church in Avon, was a foundingtrustee <strong>of</strong> the Lewis S. Mills Scholarship Fund and was active in the <strong>Burlington</strong> LibraryAssociation and the <strong>Burlington</strong> Cemetery Association. He was active in the West Hill LakefrontProperty Owners Association and the Pond Association.
