Stone (7-10-1917) at his corner homeat Lewis Corner came as a shock to his many friends and acquaintance when they learned <strong>of</strong> ittoday. Mr. Stone worked as usual yesterday and when he retired at night appeared to be in hiscustomary good health. In the night he had an attack <strong>of</strong> heart trouble, which he was occasionallysubject to. His physician, Dr. Spring was summoned, and in the meantime such remedies aswere available were restored for they were <strong>of</strong> no avail and death came very quickly. Mr. Stonewas 45 years <strong>of</strong> age, having been born in the town <strong>of</strong> Farmington, 4-25-1872, the son <strong>of</strong> Mark B.and Emily Stone. In early childhood the family moved to Whigville, living in the house which hassince become the summer home <strong>of</strong> William L.Neubauer <strong>of</strong> this city. Here he received hiseducation in the public school and lived until young manhood, when he obtained work in Bristoland took up his residence in this city. He was married in 1897 to Miss Jennie Lewis, daughter <strong>of</strong>Mr. and Mrs. George Lewis and thereafter made his home with ---. For a good many years hehas been employed in the automatic department <strong>of</strong> the movement shop <strong>of</strong> the E.Ingraham ClockCompany. He was a member <strong>of</strong> the Knights <strong>of</strong> Pythias, and an attendant <strong>of</strong> the CongregationalChurch. Having spent nearly his entire life in this section he was well known in Bristol. His quiet,genial friendly disposition won for him many friends will keenly regret his untimely decease. Hewas a faithful and devoted husband and father, and his fine qualities <strong>of</strong> heart and dispositioncombined with integrity <strong>of</strong> character placed him high in the esteem <strong>of</strong> all who knew him. Of hissurvivors are his father, Mark B.Stone, now residing in Plainville, his two brothers, Edward,recently moved to Morris Cove, and Hubert <strong>of</strong> Forestville; by a sister, Mrs. Chas. Norton <strong>of</strong>Forestville and a half sister, Mrs. Charles Gaylord <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong> Ave. and Amy his wife and 12year old son, George. The funeral arrangements are in charge <strong>of</strong> E.H.Funck. The service will beheld at the house Thursday at 2:20 and it is expected in the absence <strong>of</strong> the Rev. Mr. Wismer,that Rev. Henry S.Still <strong>of</strong> the Forestville M.E. Church will <strong>of</strong>ficiate. Members <strong>of</strong> the Knights <strong>of</strong>Pythias will act as bearers. Interment will take place in West Cemetery, Bristol, CT.
