Born in DisPutanta, VA 12-29-1891, she lived in <strong>Burlington</strong> most <strong>of</strong> her life. She issurvived by a son, David <strong>of</strong> Farmington; two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Doris) Trapp <strong>of</strong> Hornell,NY and Mrs. Henry (Eunice) Przybysz <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong>; two sisters, Clara Austin <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong> andMrs. Josephine Sc<strong>of</strong>ield <strong>of</strong> St. Cloud, FL; 13 grandchildren. Burial in Center Cemetery,<strong>Burlington</strong>, CT.UPSON ANDREW S. was born 6-16-1835 at <strong>Burlington</strong> and died at Cleveland, OH 2-22-1905. He was son <strong>of</strong> Seth Upson. His only formal education was the usual one granted to afarmers son <strong>of</strong> that time. In early life he married Miss Chloe Moses <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong>, she precededhim in death by three years. They had six children, two died in infancy and three lived to survivehim. They were Dennis and William <strong>of</strong> Cleveland and a married daughter, Mrs. Mary UpsonRose, also <strong>of</strong> Cleveland.Mr. Upson's remains were brought back to Unionville and he was buried in the HillsideCemetery in Unionville. Two years later, his children had a huge monument placed on his grave.It was a twenty-five ton granite block, beautifully designed. It took the combined efforts <strong>of</strong> fifteenmen, a steam roller and four large draft horses to move it from Plainville Railroad Station toUnionville, a distance <strong>of</strong> about eight miles. It required six hours to transport the huge stone over128
