Mrs. Janas is survived by her husband <strong>of</strong> 49 years, architect,Z.Edmunds; her Vietnam Veteran son, Janusz <strong>of</strong> Austin TX, a granddaughter, Caitleen Janas;her sisters, Mrs. Sophie Connalley with her husband Robert <strong>of</strong> New Milford; and Mrs. WalerieKorycki <strong>of</strong> Warsaw, Poland. He was an Architect, a member <strong>of</strong> American Institute <strong>of</strong> Architects and retired owner <strong>of</strong>DuBose Architects <strong>of</strong> Hartford. He was an connoisseur and collector <strong>of</strong> art and a man <strong>of</strong>outstanding gentleness and dedication to his family, friends and his pr<strong>of</strong>ession. Left in pr<strong>of</strong>oundsadness is his wife, Maria Janina Blicharska Janas and son Janusz Janas <strong>of</strong> Austin, TX, agranddaughter Caitleen Boehm and great-grandson Brian. Zbigniew will be greatly missed byhis step- daughters Maria Terrence <strong>of</strong> Ottawa, Canada and Teresa Blicharka <strong>of</strong> Bordeau,France and their families, seven step-grandsons and one step granddaughter and her family, aswell as by relatives and many friends. Born in <strong>Burlington</strong> 11-9-1909, daughter <strong>of</strong> the late John and Alice(Humphrey) Green, she resided in town all her life. Besides her husband, she is survived bymany nieces and nephews.JARDSTROM, TOIVO, "Bill", 76 <strong>of</strong> Punch Brook Road, husband to Elizabeth, died 9-27-1999 while doing yardwork at his home in <strong>Burlington</strong>. Born in Collinsville, CT 5-18-1923, son <strong>of</strong>William and Anna(Lappalainen)Jardstrom. Bill was a graduate from Canton High School. Hebegan his working career with William R.Hartigan & Son in the early 40's. Carl Hartigan tookover and Bill continued working until 1988. Gerald Mullen bought the business and Billcontinued part time.
