Katzung <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong>; two grandchildren. Two brothers, Edward and Charles, both <strong>of</strong> Avon.Burial in Center Cemetery, <strong>Burlington</strong>, CT.KATZUNG, WILLIAM died at his home three quarters <strong>of</strong> a mile beyond <strong>Burlington</strong> Center(1856, 5-4-1909). Mr. Katzung was twice married, and he is survived by his second wife andfour sons, William, Edward, Charles & Hubert. Mr. Katzung was born in Germany. About 4 yearsago he visited his native land and helped to discover a hidden treasure <strong>of</strong> $40,000 which hadbeen secreted by a relative. A sister in the old country and Mr. Katzung divided the money.Buried in Center Cemetery, <strong>Burlington</strong>, CT.KEELER, ALICE W. Miss <strong>of</strong> New York City, died 10-27-1927. The funeral was held at theFirst Congregational Church in <strong>Burlington</strong>. Miss Keeler who was the only daughter <strong>of</strong> the lateRev. John W. & Mary Keeler, was born in Ridgefield, CT. 6-10-1877. She leaves 3 brothers,Edward, <strong>of</strong> Indianapolis, IN, Rev. Ernest M. <strong>of</strong> Fresno, CA & Rev. Arza B. <strong>of</strong> N.Y.C. He was anative <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong>, CT. He made his home in Kew Gardens, Queens. His father, the late Rev.John W. Keeler, was pastor <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Burlington</strong> Congregational Church from 1910 to 1926. Heleaves his wife, Mrs. Flora Fowler Keeler <strong>of</strong> Kew Gardens; 4 daughters, Mrs. Elva Munn <strong>of</strong>Wichita, KS, Mrs. Blanche Hull <strong>of</strong> Wilmington, DE, Mrs. Leona Walker <strong>of</strong> Sauk Center, MN &Mrs. Helen McClung <strong>of</strong> Colton, California, & 7 grandchildren. Burial in Center Cemetery,<strong>Burlington</strong>, CT.KEELER, JOHN W. Rev. 84, <strong>of</strong> the First Congregational Church, and said to be the oldestactive Congregationalist minister in the country died 8-3-1926. He came to <strong>Burlington</strong> fromRoscoe, NY in 10-1-1910, and has been pastor ever since. Last January Rev. Keeler risked hislife during a fire, which started in his home about 1 a.m. He rushed to the room <strong>of</strong> his daughter,who was overcome by smoke and brought her to the home <strong>of</strong> a neighbor. He was ill fromexposure and over-exertion as a result. He was born in Ridgefield. Burial in Center Cemetery,<strong>Burlington</strong>, CT.KEELER, MARY (Brush) 80, wife <strong>of</strong> Rev. John W.Keeler, died 4-2-1923. She was born inRidgefield, 10-11-1842. Mr. & Mrs. Keeler were married 8-11-1862 in Ridgefield. Besides herhusband she leaves 3 sons, Edward <strong>of</strong> Indianapolis, Rev. Ernest, pastor <strong>of</strong> the FirstPresbyterian Church <strong>of</strong> Demeclaw, WA & Rev. Arza, an evangelist <strong>of</strong> Seattle WA; a daughter65
