As a young girl shetook part in the Warsaw Uprising in 1944, was evacuated by the Nazis and taken to Germany,first to a Concentration Camp and then to forced labor camps, where she worked until beingliberated by the Allied Forces. She survived the Warsaw Uprising and again the alliedBombardment <strong>of</strong> Germany. She came to the US with her husband and two sons in 1959 and60
