CASE, CLARENCE, 82, retired farmer & life-long <strong>Burlington</strong> resident, died 4-19-1937. Bornin <strong>Burlington</strong>, 3-20-1855, son <strong>of</strong> the late George E. & Clarissa (Ackart) Case <strong>of</strong> Canton. Heleaves a son Albert <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong>; 2 daughters; Mrs. Melvin White <strong>of</strong> Springfield, Mass. & Mrs.Frank W. <strong>of</strong> Farmington. Burial in Case Cemetery, <strong>Burlington</strong>, CT.CASE. KENNETH F. 87, <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong>, husband <strong>of</strong> Ethel (Morin) Case, died Friday, (July 15,2005) at Ingraham Manor in Bristol. Kenneth and Ethel's 67th wedding anniversary would havebeen today (Saturday). He was born in Naugatuck on April 7, 1918 and moved to <strong>Burlington</strong> atan early age and has lived there ever since. He attended <strong>Burlington</strong> schools, was a member <strong>of</strong>the <strong>Burlington</strong> Senior Citizens and also an honorary member <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Burlington</strong> Volunteer FireDepartment since 1964. He was employed by the former New Departure Hyatt division <strong>of</strong>General Motors, having retired in 1974 after 38 years <strong>of</strong> service. In addition to his wife, Ethel, heis survived by two sons and daughters-in-Iaw, Phillip R. and Theresa S. Case <strong>of</strong> Bristol, DennisR. and Elizabeth A. Case <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong>; a daughter and son-in-Iaw, Patricia A. and Roland J.Lamothe <strong>of</strong> Bristol; a daughter-in-Iaw, Carol A. Case <strong>of</strong> Bristol; nine grandchildren; 14 greatgrandchildren;several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his oldest son, KennethA. Case. Funeral services will be held Monday 10 a.m. at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 LincolnAve., Forestville. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol CT. Internment in thefamily lot in the Center.(?)CASSILLE, THEODORE D. Sr. 58, <strong>of</strong> Plainville, husband <strong>of</strong> Mary Lou(Caron) Cassille, died9-6-1997. Born 12-11-1938 in New Britain, he was a son <strong>of</strong> Jennie(Compano) <strong>of</strong> Plainville, andthe late Louis Cassille. He was manager <strong>of</strong> Cassille's Sausage Shop, Plainville, until 1978,when he opened Cassille's <strong>Burlington</strong> Pizza Restaurant near corner <strong>of</strong> Route 69 and Route 4.Later in 1993 he opened a new restaurant further down on Route 4, larger than the other, andwith an expanded menu. Today Cassille's has a beautiful gray block building in a lovely greensetting. It’s still a family business with mother and son running it, Ted Jr. taking over where hisdad left <strong>of</strong>f. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law,Theodore and Linda Cassille Jr. <strong>of</strong> Plainville, a sister, Joanne McMahon <strong>of</strong> Bristol; threegrandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Timothy Cassille; and a brother, Louis Cassille.Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Plainville, CT.CEDER, DAVID M. 75, Formerly <strong>of</strong> Simpson St. Mount Dora, Fla. died 4-4-1984. He wasborn 5-9-1908 in Brooklyn N.Y. and had lived in Avon 10 years and <strong>Burlington</strong> 40 years. He issurvived by 3 sons, David M. Jr. <strong>of</strong> Orlando, Fla. Ralph A. <strong>of</strong> East Hampton and Lawrence O. <strong>of</strong>North Branford; a daughter, Dorothy Burr <strong>of</strong> Middletown; A brother Arthur B. <strong>of</strong> Mount Dora, Fla.Burial in Center Cemetery, <strong>Burlington</strong>, CT.CEDER, JOHN OSCAR. 74, (born 1874) a former justice <strong>of</strong> the peace, town treasurer andrepresentative <strong>of</strong> the Legislature from <strong>Burlington</strong>, died 12-11-1948 in New York City following anaccident while on a visit with friends. Mr. Ceder came with his family from New York in 1912. Inrecent years he has spent much <strong>of</strong> his time in New York. He leaves his wife Mabel(Mercer)Ceder; two sons, Arthur <strong>of</strong> Litchfield and David <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong>; five grandchildren. Burial in CenterCemetery, <strong>Burlington</strong>, CT.CEDER, MABEL(Mercer) 82, died 3-20-1964 at the home <strong>of</strong> her son, Arthur B. in Litchfield.Born in Philadelphia 1-24-1882, she lived in <strong>Burlington</strong> for many years before coming toLitchfield in 1945. In addition to her son, she leaves another son, David M. <strong>of</strong> <strong>Burlington</strong>; asister, Mrs. William T.Wilson <strong>of</strong> Philadelphia, 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
