2FPH SERIES PRESSURE COMPENSATED FLOWREGULATOR/DIVERTER - PRIORITY STYLE2FPH SERIESSOLENOID SWITCHLSINLET (1)REG (2)9APPLICATIONBPThe 2FPH series of priority flow regulator valves givesfull control of regulated flow (see the 2FP series) plusremote selection of priority flow and adjustablepressure limitation of the regulated line.OPERATIONInlet flow passes through the adjustable orifice and theradial holes in the spool/sleeve assembly then out ofthe regulated port. The pressure drop across theorifice is sensed at each end of the spool, producing aforce which, at the required flow rate, overcomes thespring force. The resultant movement of the spoolregulates the flow by opening more radial holes to thebypass port. The solenoid valve vents the springchamber to a drain line and in its de-energised modeall inlet flow is diverted to the bypass port. The pre-setregulated flow is selected by energising the solenoid.The adjustable pilot valve vents the spring chamberwhen the regulated line reaches the preset pressure,diverting the flow to the bypass port where thepressure can continue to rise if necessary.
