The high pressure line causes thevalve to open the low pressure line to tank through aback pressure relief valve, thus purging the system ofextra oil supplied by the charge pump.OPERATIONInlet (2) and inlet (4) are fed by the pressure lines of aclose loop hydraulic system. As soon as pressurerises in either line, the spool which is internally pilotedopens the lower pressure side to tank through a reliefvalve. This allows the charge pump flow to beexhausted to tank after the oil has done its work, hencethe title ‘hot oil shuttle’. If the system is reversed, thespool switches in the opposite direction, maintaininghot oil exhaust.FEATURESCompact design with high pressure rating and lowpressure drop characteristics.
