As a logic element it can be used withremote pilot pressures to control large flows. It can alsobe used as a by-pass style pressure compensator inflow regulation applications.OPERATIONPorts 1 and 2 are separated by a closely matching spooland sleeve keeping internal leakage to a minimum. Port3 is connected to the spring chamber and acts as aninlet for remotely applied pressures. If the forcegenerated on the spool by the pressure in port 1 isgreater than the sum of the spring force and thatgenerated by pressure in port 3, then the valve will openport 1 to 2 allowing flow from the higher pressure side toflow through to the lower pressure side.FEATURESIdeal for use in conjunction with pilot cartridges in alarger manifold. As the main flow element it givesminimal pressure drop in a compact space.
