7VR SERIES VENTABLE RELIEF VALVEPILOT OPERATED7VR250SLIDING SPOOL TYPE2PRESSURE (1)CT1CT2VENT (3)PRESSURE (1)3TANK (2)TANK (2)APPLICATIONFor use in circuits which require relief protection and asolenoid vent feature for unloading and dumping systemflow to tank. The external vent port can be referenced toeither a remote pilot section for two pressure systems, orto an external directional valve to allow manual pressureunload.OPERATIONThe valve consists of a ventable relief cartridge and atwo-way normally closed or normally open solenoid. Themain section spool spring chamber is referenced to tank, pilot flow across the main section spool causes apressure imbalance and the spool shifts open allowinginlet flow to tank.SOLENOID VENTINGThe solenoid vent feature allows system flow to bedumped to tank at a minimum pressure drop. Whennormally closed solenoid is energised, pilot flow isbypassed around the relief pilot section to tank and themain section spool is vented fully open dumping inlet flowat low pressure (see curve). If normally open solenoid isused, the main spool shifts open and continuously dumpsinlet flow to tank until the solenoid is energised. When thesolenoid is energised, it closes and prevents pilot flowcausing the main section spool to close.REMOTE OPERATIONSA two-pressure system is created by connecting a remotepilot section (set at less than main relief setting andisolated by a two-way valve) to the external port. The mainsection spool opens when inlet pressure reaches thesetting of the remote pilot valve. The vent port can also beconnected to a manual two-way valve. When the two-wayvalve is opened, the spool is ‘vented’ open and inlet flowis dumped to tank. This feature permits manual unloadingof the pump or system pressure.RELIEF VALVEWhen used as a conventional relief valve, the solenoid isclosed. When inlet pressure exceeds the valve setting, themain section spool opens allowing relief flow to tank.FEATURESVentable for remote unloading, two-pressure systems.Combined funtions simplify circuit. High capacity forrelieving or unloading. Hardened and ground working partsfor long life.SPECIFICATIONSFigures based on: Oil Temp = 40°C Viscosity = 40 cStRated FlowMax SettingWorking PressureCartridge MaterialBody MaterialMounting PositionWeightSeal Kit NumberRecommendedFiltration LevelOperating TempLeakageNominal ViscosityRange200 litres/min (52 US GPM)350 bar (5000 psi)280 bar (4000 psi) Continuous350 bar (5000 psi) IntermittentWorking parts hardened and groundsteel.
