Patrick <strong>Wedderburn</strong>, who married Elizabeth Low, had onlyone bro<strong>the</strong>r, Kichard, aDd moreover no bro<strong>the</strong>r <strong>of</strong> his eould have been living in 1646. His sonAlexander had four sons Patrick, John (who both died before 1640), Andrew (<strong>the</strong>ir heir), and William.Thus Andrew Wedderburu had a bro<strong>the</strong>r Patrick, but was grandson to <strong>the</strong> Patrick <strong>Wedderburn</strong> <strong>of</strong>1578 and 1594. Oct. 4.—<strong>The</strong> same parties take <strong>the</strong> oath <strong>of</strong> abjuration, "that <strong>the</strong>ir sovereignLady Queen Ann was rightful Queen, and that <strong>the</strong> pretended Prince <strong>of</strong> Wales, taking<strong>the</strong> title <strong>of</strong> King <strong>of</strong> Great Britain, &c., hath no right to <strong>the</strong> crown <strong>of</strong> this realme,and <strong>the</strong>y renounce all allegiance to him and after <strong>the</strong> decease <strong>of</strong> her Majesty anddefault <strong>of</strong> heirs <strong>of</strong> her body, being protestants, <strong>the</strong>y acknowledge <strong>the</strong> PrincessSophia and Electress and Duchess Dowager <strong>of</strong> Hanover, and <strong>the</strong> heirs <strong>of</strong> her body,being protestants, as <strong>the</strong> heirs to <strong>the</strong> Crown."
