Lord Loughborough's later honours, vizt , <strong>the</strong> second Loughborough patent (31 Oct. 1795)with remainder to Sir James Erskine, John Erskine, and <strong>the</strong>ir heirs male, and <strong>the</strong> Earldom<strong>of</strong> Rosslyn patent (21 April 1801) with similar remainders.(6.) Lord Loughborough's second marriage to "Charlotte, youngest daughter <strong>of</strong> WilliamCourtenav, Viscount Courtenay, and aunt <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> present Viscount Courtenay, born atPowderham. Baptized 28 Feb. 1750-51, married Sept. 12 1782."(c.) Under <strong>the</strong> name <strong>of</strong> Janet, 1 ady Erskine, it adds in pencil, " died June 1797."(d.) It describes Sir James Erskine as <strong>of</strong> Dysart, and his bro<strong>the</strong>r John as <strong>of</strong> Lincoln's Inn,Barrister-at-law.4. Ano<strong>the</strong>r copy <strong>of</strong> No. 3 which adds that Sir James Erskine took <strong>the</strong> name <strong>of</strong> St. Clair by RoyalSign Manual, June 9 1789.
