Deo. 10.—Contract whereby John Traill, burgess <strong>of</strong> Dundee, sells for 1,200 Scrymg-eourmerksto Mr. Alexander <strong>Wedderburn</strong>, common clerk <strong>of</strong> Dundee, that land and <strong>Wedderburn</strong>tenement lying on <strong>the</strong> north, side <strong>of</strong> Argyle's gate, between <strong>the</strong> lands <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> said Mr. PaPers -Alexander, and <strong>the</strong> foreland <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> heirs <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> late Robert <strong>Wedderburn</strong> his bro<strong>the</strong>ron <strong>the</strong> east, <strong>the</strong> lands <strong>of</strong> Thomas Traill and John Goldman on <strong>the</strong> west, <strong>the</strong> commonburial ground on <strong>the</strong> north, and <strong>the</strong> said Argyle's gate on <strong>the</strong> south ; to hold <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>King in free burgage, for payment yearly to <strong>the</strong> Kirkmaister <strong>of</strong> Dundee <strong>of</strong> 8 lib. <strong>of</strong>wax or 40/- instead <strong>the</strong>re<strong>of</strong> ;also to <strong>the</strong> chaplain <strong>of</strong> ... . 40/- ; and to <strong>the</strong> hospitalmaster <strong>of</strong> Dundee 13/4.
