For instance, Helen Ramsay'sfather was not (John) Ramsay of Bracbmont, but Alexander Ramsay of Dundee, whose connection withthe Brachmont family I have not ascertained. The christian name of his son James' wife was Margaret, not Mary. Sir John, the physician, was knighted by Charles II. Sir Alexander died in 1675-76,and his wife, Matilda Fletcher, was not of Innerpessor. John of Blackness did not die before 1700,but in 1706, nor did his son Alexander die in 1704, but in 1710. His son John, again, did not die in1722 but in 1723, and it was not he, but his grandfather, who was created a baronet (in 1704). FinallySir Alexander, the fourth baronet died in 1744 not 1741.—A. YV.](6) Genealogical Account. It is among a number of pedigrees collected by Robert Dale.(c) A letter from Sir James Webster-Wedderburn to Debrett, containing nothingof value.
