Sept. 12.—Extract registered (23 May 1663) disposition by DougalMcPhersone <strong>of</strong> Easter Powrie for himself and for Janet Guthrie his spouse andJohn <strong>the</strong>ir son, for 38,000 merks advanced by Alexander <strong>Wedderburn</strong>e, elder <strong>of</strong>Kingenny, provost <strong>of</strong> Dundee, made in favour <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> said Alexander W,, 'heritably andirredeemably, <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> lands <strong>of</strong> Easter Powrie with <strong>the</strong> mill &c. as <strong>the</strong>rein described,all erected into <strong>the</strong> free barony <strong>of</strong> Powrie in <strong>the</strong> shire <strong>of</strong> Forfar, as for <strong>the</strong> principal,and <strong>the</strong> lands and barony <strong>of</strong> Ogilvie, <strong>ca</strong>lled <strong>the</strong> Glen <strong>of</strong> Ogilvie, in warrandice ; with<strong>the</strong> teinds <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> said lands, and containing procuratory <strong>of</strong> resignation and precept <strong>of</strong>sasine.
