October 8.—Sasine on Contract <strong>of</strong> Marriage between DavidHaliburton <strong>of</strong> Pitcur, with consent <strong>of</strong> his Curators on <strong>the</strong> oue part, and Agnes <strong>Wedderburn</strong>, withconsent <strong>of</strong> Sir Peter V edderburu, Knight, her fa<strong>the</strong>r, on <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r part ; under which <strong>the</strong> saidAgues <strong>Wedderburn</strong> is infeft in a liferent annuity <strong>of</strong> 4000 nierks out <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> town and lands <strong>of</strong>Haltoun <strong>of</strong> Newtyle and Kilpuruie in <strong>the</strong> Shire <strong>of</strong> Forfar." <strong>The</strong> date <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Contract not given ; but<strong>the</strong>re are mentioned as witnesses to <strong>the</strong> subscriptions <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> said David Halyburtou, Agnes, and SirPeter <strong>Wedderburn</strong> <strong>the</strong> following persons, viz. : David Earl <strong>of</strong> Nor<strong>the</strong>sk, Sir George Kinnaird. SirJohn <strong>Wedderburn</strong>. Physician to His Majesty, Alexander <strong>Wedderburn</strong>, elder and younger <strong>of</strong> EasterPowrie. William Baillie <strong>of</strong> Begbie, John Baillie <strong>of</strong>Whythill, Ma<strong>the</strong>w Baillie younger, bro<strong>the</strong>r german to Littlegill. elder, and o<strong>the</strong>rs. Alexander<strong>Wedderburn</strong> <strong>of</strong> Easter Powrie, Patrick Kyd <strong>of</strong> Craigie, Alexander <strong>Wedderburn</strong> younger <strong>of</strong> Kingainie,Mr. James Brisbane, advo<strong>ca</strong>te, James and Peter <strong>Wedderburn</strong>, sons <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> said Sir Alexander. ThomasMylne <strong>of</strong> Muirtou, and o<strong>the</strong>rs, are witnesses to <strong>the</strong> subscription <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> remanent parties abovementioned, on <strong>the</strong> 18 th October 1675.
